About Us.

When the partners of Segais, Wayne Paul, Charlotte Falkenau, Darren Fisher, and Andre Wasserman, now into their 9th year of trading, took on the dilapidated building, one of the biggest jobs was removing the reception and retail floor, which had totally rotted. It was replaced with recycled Victorian wooden flooring creating instantly a cool and refreshing feeling for clients entering the retail shop.

The reception area and large retail shop details come from the few remaining original panels of the once two downstairs reception rooms of this grand house.

Creating the new image for Segais took 6 months of building and decorating, a constant battle to preserve and maintain the features of its Victorian era, while meetings the needs and look of a progressive salon in the 21st centaury.

The various floors are split between hair design, beauty therapy and the training academy. The upstairs rooms are individually decorated with colours that harmonise the new with the old, generating an overall feeling of relaxation. Lighting is used effectively to contribute to the airy ambience. The rich but soft colours, retained features, and modern touch’s blend to create a feast for the eyes.

Within two years in the new premises business has expanded so significantly, that with bank loan secured, the rising trend in male grooming (Tea-Tree Experience for gents), a close relationship with product brand Paul Mitchell, Paul Mitchell Color, GHD, & Nu:u, Segais is building a ground floor extension, a modern contrast to the elegance of the Victorian house. The new salon will feature 12 stations, sky light and a glass wall overlooking the remains of the walled Victorian garden.
