Coronavirus – Keeping You Safe at Segais

Coronavirus lockdown

Getting Ready to Re-Open our Hair Salons – What to Expect at Segais Hair & Beauty Salons

Even though we are still waiting to know exactly when we can reopen we have been working very hard to ensure that, when we do, our salons are as safe as possible for our clients and team alike.

So what can you expect when you arrive at Segais Hair and Beauty?

The “New Normal” at Segais

All our team will be wearing appropriate PPE at all times. We request that all clients wear a mask whilst in the salon, if you need to purchase one in the salon we will have them available.

Before you arrive….

Before you arrive we will send a consultation form by email for you to complete to make it easier in the salon.  You will also get your text reminder as before.  It is even more crucial during the first few weeks back to let us know if you need to cancel to give somebody else the opportunity of the appointment.

Particularly during the first few days we may struggle to answer the phone.  We will provide an answer machine so we can return any messages.  Alternatively you can email us at

On arrival….

In Wantage you will arrive through the original door on the side of the building nearest the town.  In Didcot you will enter through the main door at the front but exit will be made at the rear to avoid cross over in reception.

When you arrive there will be hand sanitiser available for you to use.  Please wait to be greeted if necessary, standing at least 2 metres from anyone else as indicated with tape on the floor.

Could you please arrive alone with minimal bags and if you have a jacket please bring a bag to pop it in during your appointment.

During your appointment….

We will be sanitising each area before every client including all equipment too.  Unfortunately under the current circumstances we will not be able to provide refreshments or magazines during your visit but feel free to bring your own.

Booking an appointment at Segais after Lockdown

Some of you may have wondered how we will manage with everyone wanting appointments as soon as possible after we open.  Others won’t be concerned too much as long as THEY can get their hair service or beauty treatment. Lol

As soon as we have a date we will be calling all of you to arrange your booking.  To allow as many clients to be seen as quickly as possible many of our stylists and therapists have offered to do extra hours.

Appointments in the first 3 or 4 weeks will be limited to one service only for hair meaning either cut or colour but not both, and 90 minute beauty bookings only. Once the first visit has been arranged for all clients then further bookings can be made.

Ideally while you are in the salon our receptionist will arrange a future appointment for you.  Meaning that when you leave only collecting any products and payment is required.  As before please pay by card as we are a cashless.

These measures will be in place until we are advised that they can be reduced. Thank you for waiting for us. We all can’t wait to see you again be it in rather strange times.

Best wishes
